FUNDS THAT SUPPORT THE TOWN OF NEWTOWN

  • Sandy Hook Special Revenue Fund - donations specified for the benefit of the town to be used for a public purpose, such as schools, police, parks, playgrounds, and memorials
  • Sandy Hook Private Purpose Trust Fund - donations will benefit individuals or private organizations, including scholarships.

To donate, send a check made out to "Town of Newtown" and send to Town of Newtown, Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, CT 06470. Please note in the memo section specific purpose.

FUNDS FOR FIRST RESPONDERS

This fund was set up by Newtown Social Services for the first responders of Newtown. To donate, send a check made out to "Town of Newtown" and send to Town of Newtown, 3 Main Street, Newtown, CT 06470. Please note "First Responders" in the memo section.

FUNDS THAT SUPPORT AFFECTED FAMILIES 

  • The Sandy Hook School Support Fund - The United Way of Western Connecticut and Newtown Savings Bank have joined together to establish this fund. Mail donations to Sandy Hook School Support Fund c/o Newtown Savings Bank, 39 Main Street, Newtown, Ct 06470 or drop off at any branch location. To donate online click HERE.   • Newtown Victim Relief Fund - The Hartford Police Department Credit Union has set up this fund to help the victims of the Newtown tragedy. Send donations to: Newtown Victim Relief Fund, c/o The Hartford  Police Department Federal Credit Union, 50 Jennings Road, Hartford, CT 06120.
  • Newtown Memorial Fund - This fund has been established to provide a memorial for the victims of the Newtown tragedy and to establish academic scholarships. To donate, send a check to Newtown Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 596 Botsford, CT 06404. or by clicking HERE.

MEMORIAL FUNDS

  • The Sandy Hook School Memorial Scholarship Fund - The University of Connecticut has established a memorial fund honoring the victims of the Newtown School tragedy. The Sandy Hook School Memorial Fund will provide financial aid at UCONN for any student who currently attends the elementary school, as well as siblings and dependents of those killed. All monies will be spent on scholarships with no administrative costs. If funds remain once the needs have been met, the fund will then be used to support any future student from Newtown who attends UCONN. To donate, go to www.friends.uconn.edu/sandyhook
  • Lauren Rousseau Memorial Scholarship - Danbury High School has established a scholarship in memory of alumna Lauren Rousseau, one of the teachers who died at Sandy Hook. Send donations to the Lauren Rousseau Memorial Scholarship, Danbury High School, 43 Clapboard Road, Danbury, CT 06811
