The Administrative Aid Volunteer is an on-going position.  IICONN is currently seeking an administrative aide to work with the Director of Operations and the Quality Control manager.   The work would include data entry, proofing, online research, and other routine office tasks.  The person must be detail oriented, and able to deal with work that can at times be less than exciting, but is critically important.  This position will require 15-20 hours during the weekday, maturity, professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, and dependability along with attention to detail.  Interested applicants should contact Marie Dallas at mdallas@iiconn.org with an attached resume.
The Refugee Case Aid Volunteer is an on-going position as well.  The Case Aide Volunteer will help staff with direct service and administrative tasks to support new refugee arrivals in the Greater Bridgeport area.  Key responsibilities include: assisting refugees with accessing initial services and appointment; assisting in housing preparation, Social Security registration, DSS appointments, school registration, and medical needs; assisting the refugee resettlement program with necessary documentation, paperwork, and file upkeep; and office tasks will include completing forms, maintaining files, processing mail, contacting and coordinating with clients, and assisting the case managers.  This position requires a valid driver's license and clean driving record, 10-20 hours during the week, and ability in French, Spanish, Arabic, or Amharic preferred, though not required.  Interested applicants should contact Marie Dallas at mdallas@iiconn.org with an attached resume.
IICONN is a social services agency in Bridgeport, CT. They provide services for immigrants, refugees, victims of human trafficking, and their families. Volunteer opportunuties include mentoring a refugee family, painting, decorating and preparing a home for a displaced family etc.
